How can we prevent acne?

One of the major causes for acne is bacteria. When pores become clogged with dirt and excess oil, the bacteria will produce toxins and inflammation. In turn, these toxins irritate our skin causing pimples and zits. There are different bacteria types and some cause acne but some are not that cause for concern.

Three main factors that affect acne are lifestyle, diet, and hormones. Some of the risk factors we cannot control such as genetics, hormones and infection type. However, most factors can be controlled to some degree. Here are some things to consider:

Lifestyle. For example, people who do not exercise or lead a healthy lifestyle are more prone to acne-prone skin. For example, a person who eats fast foods and has a high fat and oily food are more prone to have acne-prone skin. A person who eats balanced meals and leads a healthy lifestyle is less likely to have this problem.

Diet. A poor diet can increase the amount of dead skin cells in the body which can clog the pores. This can lead to more oil production and thus more breakouts. Thus, it is important to consider a proper skincare routine that can prevent acne from occurring.

A good skincare routine includes using an anti-bacterial face wash, toner, and moisturizer. Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are antibacterial ingredients. Azelaic acid is antibacterial as well but it only works on bacteria that already exists on the skin surface. Azelaic acid works by preventing the bacterium attaching itself to hair follicles. This prevents the growth of bacteria that can trigger acne.

Topical treatments like benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid work by killing the bacteria P. acnes by preventing their access to the sebaceous glands. An example of such a product is a topical overnight acne treatment. Oral contraceptives also contain a form of azelaic acid. However, women must first use a topical acne medication such as clindamycin or azelaic acid before they begin taking oral contraceptives. There are also oral contraceptives that do not contain azelaic acid.

For more severe forms of acne, there are oral contraceptives that also contain other medications. These include medications that reduce inflammation, antibiotics, retinoid drugs and isotretinoin. For these more serious cases, it is usually recommended to see a dermatologist. If the breakout does not respond to these treatments, your dermatologist may prescribe isotretinoin, a stronger version of the prescription drug.

It is important to note that even the most potent treatments for acne are only effective if used regularly. For some people, this can be difficult. This is because as we age, our body’s natural resistance against severe conditions weakens. For example, the same chemicals used in severe types of acne may not have any effect against a twenty-five year-old. For this reason, it is important to continue treating your acne even if your symptoms do not significantly improve.

While many OTC medications are very effective, not all of them are. The best way to ensure that you receive the best possible results is to make sure that the acne product that you choose contains the ingredients that are proven to help break the acne out and prevent new outbreaks from occurring. Acnezine, for example, is among the few OTC treatments that do not contain benzoyl peroxide. It contains herbal ingredients such as aloe vera, tea tree oil, salicylic acid and vitamin B6. Benzoyl peroxide has been known to cause dry skin and irritation.

In addition, acnezine is among the few products on the market that contain the active ingredient called photodynamic therapy. This patented ingredient is believed to improve the functioning of the oil gland, which allows the skin to produce more natural oils. This is the main reason that people get oily, clogged pores, as well as pimples and blackheads. While there are several types of acne skincare and treatment products on the market today, many people prefer a more natural approach that does not use harsh chemicals, synthetic ingredients or over-the-counter medications. Because prescription methods can be hard to follow, some people prefer an over-the-counter method that is easy to use and maintain, while still having proven results.

Acnezine works by restoring the hormonal balance in the body. During hormonal changes, the oil gland produces too much oil, which clogs pores and causes pimples. With the use of this product, the oil gland will be stimulated and is no longer needed to produce too much oil. With fewer pores, there is less chance for dirt, bacteria and pimples to build up and cause breakouts.

Some women who take oral contraceptives are at an increased risk for severe breakouts. This is because birth control pills act like pimple-causing bacteria, making it difficult to control the oil gland’s production. However, if oral contraceptives are stopped, the pimples may cause severe inflammation and redness, which may cause scarring. If this occurs, consult with a dermatologist for other treatment options, such as reducing the amount of oil produced, or using a gentle facial scrub to gently exfoliate and cleanse the skin.
